Corps Solutions is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Quantico, VA
- Provide second echelon maintenance and repair support to their respective TMIT Site located at: Quantico, Virginia, I MEF (Camp Pendleton, CA and 29 Palms, CA), II MEF (Camp Lejeune), III MEF (MCB Camp Butler, Okinawa Japan, and MCB Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, HI).
- Provide cybersecurity oversight, direction, and guidance in support of attaining and maintaining an ATO through the RMF process.
- The Maintenance Technician (ISSE) makes recommendations to the RMF Lead (ISSO) on the overall cybersecurity of the project.
- Monitor and report compliance with Marine Corps Cyber Operations Group (MCCOG) issued Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Operational Directives (OPDRS) for all IT systems, information systems, and network resources.
- Implement cybersecurity solutions in compliance with the RMF, NIST, DoD and Marine Corps policies and standards to establish or sustain ATOs for information systems and networks.
- Run and review vulnerability and compliance scans on all networks and services using current DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), or other approved solution(s) as required.
- Provide weekly reports to the Site Lead and RMF Lead (ISSO), and status updates to the Government representative for all client, server, and network infrastructure software patches and updates, security vulnerabilities and fix actions, current security vulnerability POAMs, and action required in response to Operational Directive (OPDRS).
- Implement Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), OpDirs, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), patches, and industry best practices to ensure cybersecurity compliance of BSC/CAST information, C2 and simulation systems.
- Prepare and maintain A&A related documentation (i.e., site inventory, software baseline, equipment lists, ports, protocols, and services management (PPSM), self-assessment / test plans, etc.), POA&Ms, security plan, vulnerability scans, Security Assessment Report (SAR), contingency plans, information assurance vulnerability management plans, cybersecurity waiver requests, cybersecurity waiver extension requests, and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) related reporting requirements within Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST).
- Configure and implement Host Based Security System (HBSS) policy to achieve compliance with other USMC C2 information systems (e.g., AFATDS, JADOCS, TBMCS, TCS, etc.).
- Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HBSS client and server elements and modules to support day‐to‐day operations and training events and exercises.
- Draft written reports to designated Government representative reporting and correcting cybersecurity security violations.
- Ensure personnel accessing information systems have the proper IA certification to perform privileged or cybersecurity functions per DoD 8570, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program; (DoD 8140) and the SECNAV M-5239.2, Department of the Navy Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Management Manual to Support the IA Workforce Improvement Program; and USMC HQMC ECSM 024, Cybersecurity Workforce Program Management.
- Submit Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST) packages as required.
- Provide consistent reporting environment to maintain and track IT assets and ensure systems are securely managed regardless of location by providing patch coverage across operating systems and applications for improved defense against the latest vulnerabilities.
- Assess and manage risks associated with information technology resources.
- Evaluates threats, risks, and vulnerabilities and develop countermeasures to ensure continuation in the event of an IT services disruption.
- Provide frontline technical support throughout all phases of TMIT supported training events.
- Plan, prepare, and configure system equipment in advance of training execution.
- Perform authorized levels of equipment maintenance.
- Conducts second echelon repairs of mechanical, electronic, and optical equipment according to applicable documentation (parts list, drawing, wiring diagram, operation instruction, control instructions) within set turnaround timeframes.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, logs, and documentation.
- Loads and configures software according to the applicable in-service structure within Team Corps Solutions TMIT provisions.
- Tests equipment, pre and post repair, according to applicable control instructions.
- Ensures that all documentation related to the repairs, upgrades or configuration changes is up to date.
- Performs upgrades to TMIT fielded equipment and trailers as required.
- Instructs and educates site personnel on repair techniques and maintenance when required.
- Performs exercise support when required.
- Conducts system preparation to include system configuration, documentation, system allocation and tests.
- Engages and informs the Site Lead with any technical requirements, status, and any technical issues that require a higher echelon of maintenance.
- Prepares necessary Export / Import documentation for updating systems or downloading AAR data.
- Conducts troubleshooting and initiates corrective actions to ensure that contractual requirements are met.
- Establishes and sustains a safe and secure working environment; adheres to safety standards and requirements when working on systems.
- Responsible for pre-ops checks of vehicles / trailers and pre-ops checks and first echelon maintenance of HEKTRs, and set-up of equipment on training ranges.
- Responsible for breakdown, storage, and accountability of all equipment, charging of all batteries, survey of equipment for damage or expendable parts wear, and ordering of parts for routine maintenance.
- Assists with the compilation of After-Action Review (AAR) data and raw material for the Site Lead.
- Conducts performance monitoring of all components of the system.
- High school diploma.
- At least three years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Well versed in USMC and DoD cyber security compliancy, instructions, policies and regulations
- Knowledge in trouble shooting of mechanical, Electronic, and optical equipment.
- Knowledge of fault finding and testing cables.
- Knowledge in testing units and loading software.
- Knowledge of production documentation, configuration documents and control instructions.
- Knowledge of design structures and documents, reporting.
- Understanding of USMC combined arms tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Understanding of written work-related documents / schematics, illustrated parts breakdowns.
- Simulator / wheeled / tracked robot experience preferred
- Knowledge in trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electronic, and optical equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in DoD Information Assurance Certification and Assurance Process (DIACAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and DoD Host Based Security System (HBSS), Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 10 Client enterprise environments, Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and IBM Big Fix.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Documented experience and solid understanding of DoD enterprise network policies with a strong security mindset.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
- Prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements. Work in inclement temperatures from 100 degrees in a low elevation desert climate to negative 25 degrees in a high elevation (6,500 – 10,000 feet) mountainous environment.
- Routine heavy lifting (50 lbs. maximum).
- Daily driving in the training areas with poor driving conditions due to rugged terrain, weather, and range debris.
- Must be able to drive a ¾ ton truck with 25 ft trailer.
- Must possess and maintain CompTIA CySA certification.
- Must meet and maintain DoD Cyber Security Workforce program requirements for Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or higher.
- Must possess at least of one valid Computing Environment (CE)/Operating System (OS) Certificate (i.e. MS Windows Server 2012 R2 Cert, MS Windows 10 cert, a VMware 6.0 Cert).
- Must possess and maintain training and certifications sufficient to be granted privileged access to Marine Corps information technology (IT) and information systems (IS) through documented completion of required training and certification.
- Ability to obtain or have a Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST) account is required.
- Valid U.S. Passport
- Occasional travel CONUS and OCONUS may be required.
- Able to obtain a CAC Card.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
